![]() These are easy to miss since your attention is drawn to the 2 soldiers in the next room. Turn around to find 2 boxes of shotgun shells. Doing so unlocks the Sun Killer Challenge: destroy 5 of these totems for bonus XP.Ĭlimb down the ledges into a room with some sleeping mats and an Oriental rug on the floor. If you like you can use a rope arrow to conserve ammo. ( screenshot) Destroy the totem with a bullet or arrow. If you're having trouble spotting it, shoot out the lightbulb and use Survival Instinct. In the far left corner is a hanging totem (1/5) similar to the ones in the Coastal Forest. INSIDE THE BASE – CAMPSITE AND ROOMS BEFORE ELEVATOR: Before dropping down off the ledge, look past the hanging lightbulb. Its exact location is random, but if you open all the crates, you should find it. Also, one of the salvage crates in this area contains a SHOTGUN PART (3/3). NOTES: To avoid taking damage while retrieving the relic, try this alternative strategy. Squeeze through the narrow opening on the left, near the fire barrel, to enter the abandoned base. Get the salvage and climb the wall to the ledge above. Harvest the edible plant at the base of the climbing wall and use a fire arrow to burn the salvage net hanging from the ceiling. Then continue along the flooded passage as it takes a U-turn to the right. Wade through the water to the ledge ahead on the left to find a GPS cache (1/3). Once you have the relic, drop down and exit the alcove. Go into the alcove, crack open the salvage crate, and then climb onto the ledge above to find a relic (1/2), a Chou Dynasty Helmet. If she starts with full health, it won't be a problem. It's difficult to get a good angle here, so Lara will probably take a little damage. Then use another grenade (or an explosive arrow if you've unlocked this upgrade) to blow out a second metal barrier inside the alcove, above on the left. If Lara takes a little shrapnel during this process, wait for her to heal completely. ![]() Turn right, step back a bit, and then use a grenade to destroy the metal barrier. NOTE: You can drop past the fence and latch onto the wall below, but this isn't necessary, since Lara won't take much damage dropping from the wall just above the fence. Climb down as far as you can and then drop past the section of chain-link fence to the bottom of the tunnel. Go to that doorway to get a clear shot.TUNNEL LEADING INTO THE BASE: At the end of the tunnel leading into the base from Shipwreck Beach, jump across the deep shaft and latch onto the climbing wall. ![]() Lara is standing in the hallway, with the opened door (screenshot A) circled in white. Use zoom (Z) to give Lara a clearer shot.Īlso seen in Survival Instinct mode (Q). The object is located inside an unaccessible room and the only way to destroy it is to find an unobstructed view like right here through the unbarred window. Standing in this doorway (she had to pry the door open first), and using Survival Instinct (Q), one can faintly make out the object cross the hallway. Arrows A and B represent Lara’s position in screenshots A and B. The position of the object is represented by the yellow circle. Lara has to find a gap in the wall with a clear view of the target in order to destroy it (as shown in screenshot A). This object is very hard to find, mainly because it’s located in an unaccessible room. From there, jump onto the wooden beam in the picture, then jump towards the statue.Īfter lighting the bowl, get Lara down from the higher area and proceed to the left of the picture, eventually arriving back at the Village Plateau base camp. Use an arrow-ropeline to get across the river and proceed up the ledge to the top. Since this statue is on higher ground than the river, don’t jump the broken bridge, but look to the left for the roped pole on the other side of the river (it is on the opposite bank of the stream from statue 8). Lara wades through the water to get to the statue. The statue is in die wooden structure to the left. Instead, you need to proceed from either the Village Plateau or Village Overlook base camps back to statue 7 and then keep on moving downwards from there (using jumps and ropes) until you end up back at the Mountain Descent day camp close to statue 8, and then onwards to statue 9. You won’t be able to backtrack the route from the Village Plateau base camp through the isolated wooden structure just northeast of that, since Lara cannot jump or rope-arrow back to the slightly more elevated spot where statue 9 is located. In case you need to go back to statues 8 or 9 after Lara’s initial visit to that part of the level, you’re going to have to travel a long way to get there again. Note: Accessible after Lara’s been to the radio tower A) Village Overlook (see important note below map)ī) Village Plateau (see important note below map)
